The most important thing when you have to exchange is, make sure that you can transfer your credit course and both university can equivalent both curriculum so it will be easier for you to study without worrying about whta-if they-cant-transfer-your-mark. Basically, as exchange student we can oly choose course that relate to our course that we take in home university, but if you still have credit left and  want to learn another thing, it can be really interesting.

I take 14 credits in my home university (this semester is not really though if I calculate , one of the reason why I decided to exchange). And I take 16 credits in KMUTT which is really though (I just realise, at the first time when I met my head of department of comdes, Aj. Chai, he said, "Oh, you'll meet a really though day, are sure to take all of the couses?". And I just say yes, because in my home university 16 credits is categorize in small ammount).

So, I take studio class and other 4 classes, include this course, Post Production Technology. At first, I think the most though class is studio class, just like in my home university. But, if you come near teh end of semester, everything become really though. Really. I told you. I've already give you an advice, haha.

Actually, it depends of the person also. With 16 credits, I still can travel Bangkok almost every weekend with my friend and I think it's pretty good (my friend in Chemical Engineering even take 19 credits with 15 lab classes which is really though). But if you wanna have more trip, you should try American student style. I'm not sure about the credits that they take, but i think it's not that much, because actually they have not really same major with KMUTT. The American even had already gone to Cambodia, Laos and south part or Thailand. I was also planning to go to Cambodia or Phuket on Songkran but, I think I cant stand for the traffic (as exchange student--especially from asia, spesificaly from Indonesia which is reaallly think about saving money, we always choose the cheapest transportation but in Songkrang we really can't do that). But I'm happy with my desicion, I really enjoy both traveling and my learn process here. Because for me, exchange life is about experiences, meet new people, head new experiences.

My advice is, make sure you can take at least more than 10 credits, or as much as you can transfer (if you dont want to graduate late). But if you are not really worry about graduation thing, and just wanna experience new things, learn new things, and also get a chance to travel as much as you can (we can't say that it's not our main reason as exchange student! :p), you can take any amount of credits that you think enough for you because every major has its own difficulties.
